This seems like a no-brainer, and yet when I mention the City of Williamsburg‘s Economic Incentive Program for businesses, chances my (potential) clients haven’t heard of it.

What better time than now to save money!!

It’s simple. If you’re a business in Williamsburg, you’re entitled to receive up to $1,500 in a refund check from the City of Williamsburg if you’re creating or enhancing your web site. That’s no small change, considering that even a simple web site can cost $4,000 or $5,000. And you can even include search engine optimization services as part of the “enhancement.” Your web site designer must be licensed within the state of Virginia.

To find out the other particulars, go to:

Economic Development Williamsburg VA

And, if you’re in James City County, there’s a similar program to save you money on web site design.

James City County Economic Development

I’ll be posting other local economic incentive links as I find them … I know that York County offers a similar program, but I can’t find it!

In the meantime, here’s a link to a .pdf to help new businesses in York County (and covers web site development among other needs):

York County Economic Development Authority
