I have to say, the video and film world hasn’t changed much over the year in terms of how you break in — this despite an ever-increasing number of video and film undergrad and graduate programs.

Networking vs. socializing

I feel about the term “networking” the way I feel about the term “marketing.” Both are selfish terms, if you will. They’re about sales, pushing yourself onto someone else, and as such are emotionally bone dry.
